  • chip`s chip`s chip`s

hi guys i have ordered a gti and have been looking at chip`s for it to many options
    apr
    revo
    oettinger
which one to get and will be better to do it on delivery of the car or after a few thousand km`s

Any of them will be fine, just depends where you are located and you shouldn't forget GIAC either. Wait a few thousand ks....unless your dealer is proposing to do it as part of the purchase, which would be a first, AFAIK

The one's u listed are all reputable, so just go with the one that has a local dealer closest to you - and yes, don't forget GIAC.

Revo seems to be the BFYB out of all of them though and reviews has been positive so far.

I would run the car for a few thousand k's first just to make sure they put all the bolts in the engine and didn't stickytape anything together.

After that and you are confident your car runs well, then chip it.

I was under the impression that my car was chipped by the dealer. I got my gti 2nd hand... and the guy i got it off said it was done by the dealer. I have no reason to doubt it, he didn't know what kind of chip it was so i don't think he got it installed himself (happened to be apr i think as its switchable). I thought it was weird anyway... austral vw qld.

i really have no idea anymore... i assumed it was apr cause of the way you swtiched it on and off... however oettinger seems to function in the same manner... its probably oettinger if austral deal with them. anyway to check?
